Worksafe or Working Safely online training is designed to provide introductory knowledge to all employers and employees about managing all health and safety practices within the workplace.
This course educates all concerned about safe work practices, defines hazard and risk, identifies common and hidden hazards and provides essential information about risk controls and reduction within the workplace. Course candidates will also learn about employers and employees legal obligations and responsibilities with regard to a number of areas where it is necessary to manage risks. It covers steps of the risk assessment process, environmental safety and risk preventive methods to ensure effective health and safety compliance.

This Working Safety course contains seven modules and includes a brief assessment at the end of each module and hazard identification test. These include:

Working at Height, Transport, Equipment and Guarding- definitions; hazards and their identification; incidents within the workplace; legal requirements and control measures; safe practices.
Electricity – definitions; risks to health; control measures; legal requirements.
Fire Safety – fire components; hazards; risks to health; control measures; legal requirements.
Slips, Trips and Falls- hazards; risks to health; control measures; legal requirements.
Moving and Handling – hazards; risks to health; control measures; legal requirements.
COSHH – hazards; risks to health; control measures; legal requirements.
Stress – risks to health
Noise – hazards; risks to health; control measures; workplace requirements.
The Workplace Environment- hazards; legal requirements.

Module 4: Improving Safety Performance
Health and Safety Management – Occupational Safety and Health Management System (OSHMC) definition and requirements; employer legal requirements set by the HSE; safe systems at work; health and safety incidents and investigation requirements.
Module 5: Protecting the Environment
What is the environment?- general information.
Environmental Pollution – pollution and its effects on earth; ways to reduce and prevent pollution; waste and waste reduction practises.
Emergency Practices – emergency planning for incident pollution; reporting; ways to prevent and reduce waste within the business.
Module 6: Final Assessment

Module 7: Hazard Perception
Introduction – 3 Hazard Identification Scenarios and hazard identification practice for the purpose of risk assessment and preventative practices.

The online assessment is carried out on completion of each module. The pass mark for this course is 70% for the first 5 modules, 66% for the sixth module and 55% for the hazard identification and control exercise test. You will be given the chance to review all videos and your answers at the end of each module before final submission. If you don’t pass, don’t worry! You can re-take each test up to 6 times with no extra charge.
