NUTRITION AND FLUIDS COURSE
This Nutrition and Fluids Course is designed to promote awareness of the importance of nutrition and hydration and knowledge and how to provide a balanced and nutritional diet for older people in Healthcare settings. This 2-hour course will teach you or your healthcare staff about the changing needs of senior individuals, healthcare workers legal obligations and the importance of a balanced diet in accordance with the service users’ care plan. It enables care providers meet training requirements placed by the Food Safety Act of 1990; a variety of food safety/hygiene regulations including those introduced in 2006; the Food Information for Consumers Regulation, and the requirements placed by the CQC.

The assessment is carried out on completion of the course. You are given the chance to answer 20 questions with a 75% pass mark. If you don’t pass, don’t worry! You can re-take the test immediately with tutors support and with no extra charge.
