This Manual Handling training provides the necessary theoretical knowledge for those employees who are starting work, returning to work or who need specific training in handling loads. This course is an essential training requirement for all staff who may undertake manual handling operations, including the transporting of a load of items by lifting, putting down, pushing, pulling, carrying or moving thereof by hand or by bodily force.

WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?
This manual handling training course is aimed at all levels of employees who may undertake manual handling operations, including the transporting or supporting of a load by hand or bodily force. This includes, but is not limited to:
Laborers, building and construction workers
Warehouse and logistics workers
Health and Social Care employees
Upon completion of this course learners will be able to:
Understand their and their employer legal obligations with regard to manual handling operations
Understand the consequences of poor manual handling practice
Understand the human body and anatomy and how incorrect manual handling operations affect it
List actions to be taken in the event of a manual handling maneuver being required within their working environment
Identify and implement the correct maneuver for use on a range of different manual handling situations
The assessment is carried out on completion of the course. You are given the chance to answer 20 questions with a 75% pass mark. If you don’t pass, don’t worry! You can re-take the test immediately with tutors support and with no extra charge.
