This First Aid Basic Life Support course is designed to provide theoretical knowledge needed to become a confident first aider at work. It enables course candidates to learn about the employers and employees legal obligations, legislation and record-keeping with regard to first aid emergency situations at work. Basic Life Support course covers theory and demonstration of the most common first aid practices, including CPR, AED, choking, heart attacks and other first aid emergencies. Apart from that, this course provides a nationally recognised and fully accredited certification which enables employees and employers to meet the Health and Safety Executive’s (HSE) and Care Quality Commission (CQC) due diligence requirements.
Training material for this course is designed in line with current guidelines published by the Resuscitation Council (UK) and the current first-aid manual of the St John Ambulance. It teaches delegates both the ability and knowledge to deal with real life first aid emergencies in and out of the workplace.

Recognize and learn how to administer First Aid to a casualty with: Cardiac Arrest/ Heart Attack/ Choking/ Poisoning/ Eye Injury/ Severe Bleeding/ Shock/ Drowning/ Spinal Injury/ Scalds and Burns/ Electric Shock
The assessment is carried out on completion of the course. You are given the chance to answer 20 questions with a 75% pass mark. If you don’t pass, don’t worry! You can re-take the test immediately with tutors support and with no extra charge.
